MANITOU SCHOOL ALUMNI REUNION
The Manitou School Alumni met
October 3rd & 4th, 2008 for the 16th School Reunion. Louis
Box, President presided over the meeting. The first graduating class from Manitou
was in 1923 and the last graduating class was 1964. Manitou continued with a
grade school until 1993, at that time students attended Tipton, Frederick, or Snyder.
The Reunion is held every two years at the Vo-Tech in Frederick, OK. The next Reunion will be in 2010.
The Alumni voted to donate to the Manitou Volunteer Fire
Department $1,000 in appreciation to the dedication and time they contribute to keeping the town and surrounding areas safe.
Friday evening and Saturday was enjoyed by many with visiting
and memories of school days. The following registered to attend the banquet Saturday night. They
